Is Uniface a dying programming language?

General
I have been working with the Uniface programming language for over 2 decades now and I can see a drastic decline in available jobs. Even the Uniface developer numbers are on the decline. I only know 3 people within South Africa that still uses this programming language. If you do not have developers, then you do not have a product. It is a shame, because Uniface is such a powerful 4GL programming language and I believe it has so much to offer. I think the biggest problem  is the way the Uniface's licensing model is constructed and also the way they present their product to potential developers. Lets face it, if there is no developers, then there is no product.  Look at Microsoft, they give potential developers the express versions,…

Skrum vs. Kanban

IT Related
Agile is very flexible and you can have multiple "flavours" of delivering Agile software. The two most common "flavours" are the Scrum and Kanban. You have to decide as a team what works and what does not work for you. I came across these videos below, that I would like to share with you, but remember if you do follow the correct Agile principles and values, you might find yourself at a point where you decide to change even the "flavour" of Agile being used, and even that is OK. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIaz-l1Kf8w https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Jgu1BlTlSc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2ZrUQNwrUk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOlFPi5xJqQ

Manifesto for Agile Software Development

General, IT Related
The Agile Manifesto was written in February of 2001 by seventeen independent-minded software practitioners . While the participants didn't agree about much, they found consensus around four main values. We are uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it. Through this work we have come to value. Individuals and interaction over processes and tools Working software over comprehensive documentation Customer collaboration over contract negotiation Responding to change over following a plan This is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.
